Oil Heater / Oil Cooler: Reliable Heat Exchange Solutions for Industrial Systems

Oil heaters and oil coolers are essential components in industrial systems that require precise temperature control of lubricating, hydraulic, or thermal transfer oil. To meet the diverse needs of different industries, we offer three main structural types of oil heater/cooler units: U-tube type, coil type, and straight-tube type. Each type is engineered for optimal performance in specific working conditions.

Structural Types

U-Tube Type

The U-tube type oil heater/oil cooler is designed for applications requiring strong thermal stress resistance and compact layouts. The curved design of the tubes accommodates thermal expansion, reducing stress on the tube sheet and extending service life.

Advantages:

  • Excellent thermal compensation capacity

  • Compact structure, suitable for limited installation space

  • Easy to clean and maintain, with removable tube bundle

  • Suitable for high-temperature and high-pressure working conditions

Coil Type (Helical or Spiral Coil)

The coil-type structure features helical or spiral-shaped tubes, which offer increased surface area within a compact volume. The geometry promotes turbulent flow, significantly improving the heat transfer coefficient.

Advantages:

  • High heat transfer efficiency

  • Compact layout and good integration flexibility

  • Suitable for moderate fouling fluids

  • Can be installed vertically or horizontally

Straight-Tube Type

The straight-tube type is a classic, robust design preferred in systems that require simplicity, reliability, and ease of cleaning. This configuration is ideal for relatively clean oil and systems that need frequent inspection.

Advantages:

  • Simple structure, easy to fabricate and inspect

  • High flow capacity with minimal pressure drop

  • Suitable for standard industrial oil circuits

  • Cost-effective and widely applicable

Typical Applications

Our oil heaters and oil coolers are widely used in the following industries and systems:

  • Power generation (turbine lube oil cooling/heating)

  • Petrochemical and refinery equipment

  • Marine diesel engines and propulsion systems

  • Industrial gearboxes and lubrication systems

  • Hydraulic power units and press machinery

  • Thermal oil circulation in chemical reactors

  • Compressor and pump skid packages

  • Offshore and onshore energy platforms
