Project Background: Waste Heat Recovery for Hot Rolling Furnace Exhaust Gas

In steel production, hot rolling furnaces and reheating furnace systems generate large volumes of high-temperature flue gas.    If this heat is discharged directly, a significant amount of thermal energy is wasted. At the same time, the high-temperature exhaust gas    may increase the load of downstream flue gas treatment systems.

A waste heat boiler is installed in the flue gas system to recover this thermal energy and generate steam.    The recovered steam can be used for plant utilities, process heating, or other energy-saving applications.    For steel plants upgrading their flue gas treatment systems, a waste heat boiler is an important solution for combining    energy recovery, emission control, and operating cost reduction.
